(QWEEN BEE) @ Glastonbury..........

Beyoncé offered a glimpse on Monday night of what audiences can expect from her Glastonbury headline slot during a warm-up show in France.

Opening with Crazy in Love and flanked by an all-female band, the 29-year-old performed three cover versions among her solo hits, at least two of them – Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody and Kings of Leon's Sex on Fire – were rock anthems tailored for a Glastonbury crowd.

With her fourth album, 4, due for release on Monday, Beyoncé premiered new songs including the horn-inflected End of Time and latest single Best Thing I Never Had, as well as a medley of Destiny's Child tracks.

The singer's Glastonbury set will feature as part of the BET awards in America on Sunday night, with her performance beamed live via satelite from Somerset.

It has also been reported that Chris Martin managed to convince a sceptical Beyoncé to play Glastonbury, with Emily Eavis telling the Radio Times that "Chris is a bit wary of people knowing he's been so involved [in the festival]. I don't know why because it's actually cool."
